Booking
How do I book an open trip with MENTAVA?
You can book directly through our website. Choose your preferred trip date, fill out the booking form, and proceed with payment. Once confirmed, you’ll receive a detailed itinerary and preparation guide via email.
Can I join alone or do I need a group?
You can absolutely join solo! Our open trip system allows individual travelers to join a shared group adventure — a perfect way to meet new people and explore together.
Can I move my booking to another trip date?
Yes, rescheduling is allowed up to 7 days before departure, depending on availability. Please contact our support team to adjust your travel date.
Can I transfer my booking to someone else?
Yes, you can transfer your spot to another traveler by providing their complete details at least 3 days before departure. No extra fee will be charged for name changes.
Cancellation & Refund
How can I cancel my booking?
To cancel your booking, please contact our admin through WhatsApp or email. Cancellations must be made at least 10 days before departure to be eligible for a refund.
What is the refund policy?
Full refunds are available for cancellations made more than 10 days prior to departure. For cancellations between 5–9 days, a 50% refund applies. No refunds for cancellations made within 4 days of departure.
What if the trip is canceled by MENTAVA?
If a trip is canceled due to weather conditions, minimum quota not reached, or operational issues, you’ll receive a full refund or the option to move to another available date.
Payment
What payment methods are available?
We accept payments via bank transfer, credit/debit card, and popular e-wallets in Indonesia. Payment instructions will appear after booking confirmation.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes, you can secure your spot with a 50% down payment. The remaining balance must be paid at least 7 days before the trip departure date.
How long does it take for my payment to be confirmed?
Payments via e-wallet or card are confirmed instantly. Bank transfers are verified manually within 12–24 hours.
Trip Preparation
What should I pack for Mentawai?
Bring light clothing, swimwear, sunscreen, a waterproof bag, sandals, personal medicine, and a power bank. We’ll send a full packing list after booking.
Is there internet access in Mentawai?
Signal can be limited in remote islands, but most accommodations provide Wi-Fi access in common areas. Enjoy being offline and reconnecting with nature!
What if the weather is bad?
Safety is our priority. In case of extreme weather or unsafe sea conditions, the itinerary may be adjusted or postponed. We’ll always keep you informed.
